But this country was also blazing trails of stardust right across the music scene: in film with John Barry and his iconic Bond music; musical theatre with Lionel Bart (Oliver!) and Newley/Bricusse (Feeling Good, Goldfinger); and through the charts from rock n roll (Johnny Kidd, Cliff and the Shadows, Billy Fury, Adam Faith et al); easy listening with Matt Monro, through the beat groups (Hollies, Small Faces, Animals) psychedelia and into the heavier rock sounds like Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac.
