We use this list to send you details about our annual festival (this includes information about how to participate, or put a show into the festival, as well as just about what to see) We email an average of once a month, except in the run-up to the festival when there's more to say in news and more recommendations. We occasionally include information about other events which we think you might find interesting, but we do not and will never share our list with other organisations, allow others to analyse data, sell names, etc. We ask for a postcode because it helps us to know where audiences come from, and it's possible that some information may be more useful to people in the immediate locality.

You can unsubscribe via the link on every mailing you will get from us (including one you will receive in just a moment to confirm that you're on the list).

fromthewhitehouse presents:

Reg Meuross

with special guest, harpist Anna Tanvir

Reg is a true modern troubadour, from gigging in village halls and folk clubs to playing the Royal Albert Hall and intimate as well as huge festival stages in the UK and abroad, he consistently entrances his audiences with songs of life, love and injustice, soulfully delivered with melodic tenor vocals and exemplary guitar playing. He has that rare gift of being able to touch people through his songs and performance, on a really human level, with words and music painting pictures that remain with the listener long after the song has been sung.
"There's something special about the way he writes and delivers a song" Townes Van Zandt.
"Time and again, Reg proves himself one of the key songwriters of our age" David Kidman
"One of the most talented storytellers of our generation" Pennyblack Music
"Powerful and moving songwriting" Martin Chilton, The Telegraph
"A mighty songwriter and an equally fine singer" Martin Carthy

Anna Tanvir is an exceptional singer and Celtic harp player of Indian/Irish origin. She has performed all over Europe, India and Madagascar combining a classical technique with a traditional sound. Her repertoire is a mix of traditional melodies and her own compositions reflecting her mixed cultural heritage and transcending the barriers of nation and language by recounting universally relevant stories of life and love.
"The rich timbre in her voice and her magnificent singing style while playing on the Celtic harp shows that she was born to sing" (The Hindu)
"Anna sings magnificently and plays the harp with unbelievable melody and expression creating a lyrical and soul-stirring musical experience" (The Indian Express)
