We use this list to send you details about our annual festival (this includes information about how to participate, or put a show into the festival, as well as just about what to see) We email an average of once a month, except in the run-up to the festival when there's more to say in news and more recommendations. We occasionally include information about other events which we think you might find interesting, but we do not and will never share our list with other organisations, allow others to analyse data, sell names, etc. We ask for a postcode because it helps us to know where audiences come from, and it's possible that some information may be more useful to people in the immediate locality.

You can unsubscribe via the link on every mailing you will get from us (including one you will receive in just a moment to confirm that you're on the list).

A Word In Your Ear presents

Little Potatoes

By Clare Reddaway

Matchmaking mums at the Shanghai marriage market hatch a plan to get their Little Emperors hitched.
Little Potatoes is a powerful, bittersweet comedy-drama which explores the impact of the one-child policy on the lives of two women in China. Playing multiple roles two talented performers create a fast-paced narrative presenting the realities and repercussions of state controlled birth control.
Bath-based A Word in Your Ear performed Little Potatoes to great acclaim in January at the Arcola Theatre, London.
"Michelle Wen Lee and Sarah Curwen shine - a highlight with its sensitive treatment of matchmaking mothers." - ayoungertheatre.com
