We use this list to send you details about our annual festival (this includes information about how to participate, or put a show into the festival, as well as just about what to see) We email an average of once a month, except in the run-up to the festival when there's more to say in news and more recommendations. We occasionally include information about other events which we think you might find interesting, but we do not and will never share our list with other organisations, allow others to analyse data, sell names, etc. We ask for a postcode because it helps us to know where audiences come from, and it's possible that some information may be more useful to people in the immediate locality.

You can unsubscribe via the link on every mailing you will get from us (including one you will receive in just a moment to confirm that you're on the list).

A celebration of heritage skills

Festival of Iron

Four days of Blacksmithing Action!

For the first time ever in Bath, this four day festival offers a unique opportunity to witness Master blacksmiths at work as they forge a brand new balustrade for the Parade Gardens bandstand. The design for the balustrade is based on an original musical score 'Hammer and Anvil' the festival will culminate in a striking piece of public art, donated to the city.

Join us in a celebration of our craft heritage featuring:
** Dynamic blacksmithing demonstrations
** Have-a-go forging for children and adults
** Exhibition of contemporary and traditional forged ironwork
** Guided walking tours of Bath's ironwork
** Live music by the Bath Folk Festival team
** Pop-up forging around the city
