We use this list to send you details about our annual festival (this includes information about how to participate, or put a show into the festival, as well as just about what to see) We email an average of once a month, except in the run-up to the festival when there's more to say in news and more recommendations. We occasionally include information about other events which we think you might find interesting, but we do not and will never share our list with other organisations, allow others to analyse data, sell names, etc. We ask for a postcode because it helps us to know where audiences come from, and it's possible that some information may be more useful to people in the immediate locality.

You can unsubscribe via the link on every mailing you will get from us (including one you will receive in just a moment to confirm that you're on the list).

Mondegreen Records presents

Track Dogs

Sun-shiny songs thriving on dark themes behind irresistible rhythms.
Made up of two Irishmen, an Englishman and an American the band came together in 2011 to create their unique brand of acoustic music; a veritable 4 x 4 of voices and instruments identified by the fusion of styles which include folk, latino, americana, bluegrass and, dare we say it...pop.
Comprising Garrett Wall, Dave Mooney, Howard Brown & Robbie K. Jones, their artistic name derives from the dark subterranean world of New York's subway system, present their fourth album "Kansas City Out Groove" in March 2018.
In 2017 they were invited to Kansas City to showcase at Folk Alliance International, the largest gathering of folk and acoustic musicians in the world, and from this musical experience comes the title to their new work. It was here also that they met The Barefoot Movement, from Nashville, who have collaborated with them on the track "Gonna Get My Way".

"Track Dogs were the hit of Rochester Sweeps Festival 2016. Their close harmonies, instrumentation but above all, interaction with the audience, proved a winner."
Doug Hudson, Director Rochester Sweeps
"Track Dogs played 2 shows at Vantastival 2016 and both were highlights of the weekend. Their unique show around 1 mic was perfect for the atmospheric smaller stage with their on-point vocal harmonies and rhythmic tribal beat. Their show as headline act for our larger stage was one of the biggest audiences of the weekend and left everyone in no doubt that this is a very very special band."
Mark Staunton, Vantastival Festival Director
"In a battle of the stages, Track Dogs were up against festival headliner Badly Drawn Boy. Wonderfully unfazed by this, the band drew one of the biggest crowds of the weekend to the GoldenPlec Stage, cheery, Spanish-tinged acoustic proving a hit with a crowd that wanted to dance."

PRESS

"This band turned out to be a total discovery, with vocal harmonies on a par with groups like Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, America or the most melodic style of, for example, the Eagles mixed in with the graceful irreverence of The Pogues". Renacer Eléctrico Music Magazine, Spain

"Their lively, melodic music has a strong American/Latin sentiment, a strong sense of fun and an abundance of sunshine".
Folkradio.co.uk

"Groovy" is not a word I often use in this column, but that's just the adjective I need to describe Madrid-based Irish band the Track Dogs...Released at the end of last year, the album is rhythmic, soulful and simply cool. This is indie-acoustic arranged with a hippie flair. The band's music is, like the band of ex-pats, an eclectic cultural crossover."
The Irish Echo, New York
